We found them at an event our apartment complex hosted and they did not disappoint!! The food was super delicious, and the recommendations were spot on! I've been looking for authentic Mexican food since I moved from California and this is absolutely 100% my go to now! I cannot recommend this spot enough, I'm excited to go back and support them!
I tried them randomly and the PaloMitas are amazing!! The Pineapple Fresca is bomb! Please check them out!
I've found my birria hookup in Huntsville! I came by to try Catrina's for lunch last week. This is a food truck, though it's quite a large one and hard to miss with its beautifully pained sides! Most days they seem to not be itinerant and are instead parked in front of the Washlab (next to Shottenkirk Honda) on University Drive. However, they are active on social media and post their location weekly, and they do move around from time to time. Definitely check out their page before going looking for them. They have quite a large menu with lots of traditional Mexican favorites like tortas, sopes, and alambres, as well as some stuff for more American palates like hamburgers and cheesesteaks. I was, of course, after birria, which I ordered as a combo with rice and beans. The combo was fairly pricy at 20, but one thing I did like was that it included my choice of an agua fresca -- I chose pineapple this time. Service was very friendly, offered to help answer any questions I might've had, and got my order out to me in a timely fashion. I had no trouble ordering in English; likewise, the man who ordered after I did seemed to have no trouble ordering in Spanish. Win-win! Although the price was a little high, the quantity of food was great and the quality was impressive. My meal came with three quesabirria tacos, rice and beans, consomme, red and green salsas, a fresh lime, and some pickled veggies. EVERYTHING was yummy. The birria was tender and unctuous (though I wish there had been a *teeny* bit more meat), the beans were smooth and smoky, and the pickled veggies were delightfully crunchy and sour. The rice was just so-so flavor-wise, but it was nothing a splash of the delicious and mild-almost-medium heat red salsa couldn't fix. The salsa verde was herbaceous and cooling; my preference was the red but I can clearly see the merits of both! Lastly, my pineapple agua fresca was refreshing and sweet, though not cloyingly so. I finished my meal feeling so excited and happy about what I'd just consumed. The lingering flavor sensations of heat and savory, umami birria brightened my whole day! I will be back when the birria craving strikes again.
Everything was amazing. I was in town visiting for a work trip and had a taste for Hispanic food! When I tell you it’s one of the best I’ve had, you will not regret! Best price and well worth it! Ordering service is up to date to ensure you know where it’s located.
This place is SO YUMMY. Amazing service, quality ingredients at a reasonable price, and delicious options. I got the marinaded pork burrito just by itself for 9 something and then a large pineapple cantaloupe Agua Fresca! All together it was like 15 bucks so not super cheap but Will be returning because it was worth it!!
Absolutely the best authentic Mexican I think I've ever had my whole life for And I just get the basic 3 Taco combo,I can't wait to come back and try all the other great combo meals they have! The service was awesome the food was amazing I will be back for sure in fact I'm gonna follow these guys and probably be a regular like weekly for real this place is absolutely great find!!
We had Catrina's Mexican Food Truck come to our subdivision tonight, and the food is OUTSTANDING! I got the Birria tacos, which I wasn't sure I'd like since they are made a little differently than I'm used to, but they are AMAZING!! Sooo much flavor! I also got the quesadillas, and they were delicious as well! And y'all, if you need churros...you HAVE to try these ones!! OH. MY. GOSH. SOOOOOO good!! Not to mention that the workers are wonderful to work with and to be served by! They are so pleasant and kind! They also have other options like burgers and chicken, so there's something for everyone! If y'all haven't tried them yet, you need to get your butts out there and try their food!!
The food is probably the best Mexican I ever had, we got quesabirrias and a campechano burrito, it comes with 2 sides and a drink and everything was amazing, also make sure to get the pineapple strawberry drink!
